Aisling Bea

Aisling B a, born 16 March 1984, in Kildare Ireland. Bea has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. Following appearances in bits on a number of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea was able to begin her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. Bea began performing frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms in 2012. In 2012, after winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for numerous panel shows for which she has become a fixture. In 2016 and 2017, she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats' team, and also a part-time participant of the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. The child was born to Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. She is only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. She uses the surnamed Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet who took his own life after Bea reached the age of three, was a victim of self-harm. She was told about his suicide only after the age of thirteen. In honor of her dad, she chose the stage name Bea and in 2017, wrote an article about suicides and deaths that affected her family for The Guardian. Bea as well as her younger sister Sinead, were raised by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. Their family was fascinated by horses and race meetings. Bea started her journey as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that the race industry wasn't for her.
