Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five her family moved to Oxfordshire and attended at the Dragon School. Emma was only six when she decided that she wanted to pursue a career as an actress. She studied for a number of years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a partially-time theater school in Oxford where she studied singing and acting. When she was 10 Emma was a participant in several Stagecoach productions, as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The film version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was cast for the first occasion in the year 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone as well as Ron Weasley told Emma after seven auditions that she'd been cast in these roles. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film broke all records in terms of first-day and weekend revenue, making it the most successful 2001 film. Critics have praised both the film, as well as the performances of its three major young actors. The highly distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma's performance was nominated, and she was awarded five more times in the film.
